Postpartum fitness recovery has a natural sequence. It starts with deep core reconnection reactivating the transverse abdominis, coordinating breath and intra-abdominal pressure, and rebuilding the foundational stability that pregnancy disrupts.
This isn’t glamorous work, but it’s the work that makes everything else possible. From there, the program progresses into full-body strength training, functional movement patterns, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and mobility work, and postural correction to address the body mechanics that shift during pregnancy and new-mom daily life the forward-rounded shoulders, the anterior pelvic tilt, the chronically tight hip flexors.
