jeansThe majority of us are concerned with weight loss and changing our body image. Most people that do achieve weight loss in a program don’t necessarily lose the weight the right way.

Much of the “weight” is from loss of water and hard-earned muscle. We make sure that the weight loss is from the fat source.

Meal planProper counseling on the foods to eat before and after a workout will make all the difference in your performance for that hour. Guidance on the foods to eat at the different times of the day will make all the difference in your productivity at work and improve your sleeping habits at night. You really are what you eat. So, making sure you’re getting the quality foods will totally change the way you look and feel.

Strength training is hard and can be very dangerous. Stretching is something that can be done more effectively if you have someone stretch you out. Do you give yourself a massage? Of course not. We spend time at the end of each session and stretch your whole body out on our custom stretch tables. Having strong tone muscles that have flexibility is a winning combination for anyone who wants to better their self image and attain optimal fitness.

Post-Rehab Conditioning

service03After some of us have had surgery, we hopefully go through some type of physical therapy. What’s really done after that …? Nothing. Our bodies have to be constantly stimulated with some type of exercise so we don’t regress.

We have trainers that specialize in corrective and therapeutic exercise. We want to enable our clients to get back to where they were prior to the injury and certainly prevent them from reinjurying themselves.

Core Functional Training

Personal Training
“Core” refers to all of the muscles deep within the abs and back that attach to the spine or pelvis. These muscles are where movement originates and it’s also the source of our stability. Whether you’re running, lifting weights or picking up your toddler, these “core” muscles help keep your body stable and balanced.

We concentrate on training the body as a whole, rather than focusing on separate muscle groups. This means incorporating torso training throughout your workout, rather than just doing standard crunches. This functional training utilizes things like stability balls, foam balance beams and wobble boards in your regular workout.

Core training has many benefits including:

– More functional workouts that translate into daily life activities
– Improved performance in sports

– Better ability to function each day

Body AwarenessPosture is the position in which you hold your body upright against gravity. Being aware of good posture involves training your body to stand, walk, sit and lie in positions where the least strain is placed on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement or weight-bearing activities.

Proper posture has many benefits, including:

– Keeping bones and joints correctly aligned so muscles are used properly
– Decreasing abnormal wear of joint surfaces that may cause arthritis

Milagros is located in the design district on Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach. Our facility is easily accessed via Highway 101 or the I-5 Freeway making making us less than 10 minutes away for our clients in the North County coastal regions of Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, and Carmel Valley.
